Wolves players will wear commemorative Fight Against Cancer jerseys on January 16, 17, and 31. The jerseys will be auctioned and raffled with proceeds benefiting cancer-related charities and Chicago Wolves Charities.
Defenseman Brent Sopel was given a different jersey for each of the Fight Against Cancer games. Having three separate jerseys helps raise more money for Chicago Wolves Charities and allows the Wolves family to do everything we can to benefit those affected by cancer and their families.
These jerseys will be available for purchase in four ways:
01Raffle – One of Brent Sopel’s three Fight Against Cancer jerseys will be raffled. In addition, as selected by fan voting, defenseman David Shields and forwards Philip McRae and Yannick Veilleux's jerseys will be raffled. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20. Raffle sales will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, when doors open and will close at the end of the second intermission of each game. The raffle will conclude at the end of the second intermission on Saturday, Jan 31. Raffle tickets can be purchased in-arena only at the Customer Service Booth, located in the Southeast Lobby of the Allstate Arena, behind Section 116.
02Blind Auction – The jersey of center Jeremy Welsh will be available through a blind auction. Simply bid the highest amount you would like to pay for the jersey and the highest bid submitted by the end of the game on Saturday, Jan. 31, will be the winner. The minimum bid is $250, and you will not know what others are bidding. You can pick up blind auction forms at the Customer Service Booth, located in the Southeast Lobby of the Allstate Arena behind section 116. The blind auction is available in-arena only. ALL FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE BOOTH BY THE END OF THE GAME ON JAN. 31.
03Silent Auction – A silent auction will be held for the remaining jerseys, as well as the second of Brent Sopel’s three jerseys. Place a bid on your favorite player’s jersey at the Customer Service Booth, located in the Southeast Lobby of the Allstate Arena behind Section 116. The bidding began at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, and concludes at the end of the second intermission on Saturday, Jan. 31.
